1984 Aria Pro II ZZ Deluxe
This guitar is in great condition and has the original hardware that it came with from the Matsumoku factory in Japan 41 years ago. Neck and frets are still sweet, great action, and no warping. The pickups sound great. Toggle switch, tone, and volume knobs are fully functional wish no issues. Everything is excellent thanks to the combination of having the local pro shop do a thorough maintenance on it every couple years in addition to me simply taking good care of it.
Though it has always been well cared for and never abused, naturally there will be some signs of it’s age. On the guitar itself there are two small chips visible from the back – one at each of the two “sharp points”, and some slight very minor scuffing (only noticeable if hold it up close under a shiny light). As you can see in the photos – these are only minor cosmetic issues.
Take a look around the rest of the guitar and it’s great, especially in important spots such as the neck pocket.
The case (original), however, shows an obvious 41 years of protecting the guitar, and the accessory compartment door comes loose and there are some scars. Most noticeably the small patch of white where glue was spilled during an attempt to “fix up” the case a long time ago. But still, it’s the original case and it works.
