Monitoring your bandwidth and disk usage.

Solution
You should keep an eye on your monthly bandwidth and disk space usage by logging into your account regularly and checking your usage stats report.

If you exceed your bandwidth limit for the current billing month your images become temporarily disabled.

This article will show you how to easily monitor your resources to avoid exceeding them, and how to upgrade / downgrade your account when necessary.

When you log in to your MEP account there is a statistics box on each page under the right-side menu. This box tells you:

  • Which plan you are currently subscribed to.
  • How much of your disk space you've used.
  • How much bandwidth you have used for this billing cycle.
  • When your bandwidth will renew (and set back to zero)
  • How many images you are currently hosting.
  • Total image views for the lifetime of your account.
  • Number of image views this billing period.

As you can see, there is a handy little graphical bar that gives you a quick visual of your bandwidth usage. So for example - if you notice that your bandwidth is getting close to total consumption for the current billing period and yet you still have many days or weeks before it renews, you can upgrade to the next highest plan to avoid disruption of your service.

To Upgrade or Downgrade your current plan simply follow these steps:

1. Log in to your MEP account and click the ACCOUNT/PREFERENCES button.

2. Scroll down to the MODIFY section and select the plan you want to switch to.

3. Click the "Update My Plan" button. This will take you to the PayPal gateway page - log into your PayPal account there and confirm the new subscription plan change.

NOTE: Changing your plan is not instantaneous, as one of our staff will need to manually switch it for you. If your need is urgent please call us after you submit the change!
