Resizing your images BEFORE you upload them has MANY benefits:
1. Faster uploads and downloads - large files take longer to upload and longer for people on DIAL-UP to view your pics (which can affect sales!)
2. USES LESS BANDWIDTH - LARGE IMAGES DIRECT FROM CAMERAS USE A LOT OF BANDWDITH. Resizing your pics BEFORE you upload them will help you stay on the cheaper plans! Plus you can fit more pics in your account and get a LOT more image views out of smaller plans!
3. Prevents upload errors - image files on your camera are typically huge (500kb and higher) and can cause uploads to fail. Optimizing pics to under 150kb (50kb to 80kb is ideal) will prevent upload failures.
